Fabric Requirements:
- Fabric A—from 5 1/2”-wide piece cut two 5 1/2” x 2 1/2” pieces, two 4 1/2” squares, and two 4 1/2” x 2 1/2” pieces. From 3 1/2”-wide piece cut one 3 1/2” x 1 1/2” piece. From 2 3/4”-wide strip cut six 2 1/2” squares. From 2 1/2”-wide strip cut four 2 1/2” x 1 1/2” pieces.
- Fabric C—from 2 3/4”-wide strip, cut one 2 1/2” x 6 1/2” piece and one 2 1/2” square. From 1 1/2”-wide strip cut three 1 1/2” squares.
- Fabric D—from 2 3/4”-wide strip cut two 2 3/4” squares.
- Fabric E—from 2 1/2”-wide strip cut one 2 1/2” x 6 1/2” piece, one 2 1/2” square, and three 1 1/2” squares.
- Fabric G—from 5 1/2”-wide strip, cut two 5 1/2” squares.
Making the Block

Refer to Quick Corner Triangles. Making quick corner triangles sew one 2 1/2” Fabric E square to one 4 1/2” x 2 1/2” Fabric A piece as shown. Press. Make another unit using Fabrics C and A as shown. Press.

Sew one unit from step 1 to one 5 1/2” x 2 1/2” Fabric A piece as shown. Press. Make two one of each combination as shown. Label Units 1 and 5 as shown.
- Making quick corner triangles, sew two 2 1/2” Fabric A squares to one 2 1/2” x 6 1/2” Fabric E piece as shown. Press. Make another unit using Fabrics A and C as shown.

- Making quick corner triangles sew one 1 1/2” Fabric E square to one 2 1/2” x 1 1/2” Fabric A piece as shown. Press. Make another unit using Fabrics C and A as shown. Press.

Arrange and sew one unit from step 3, one unit from step 4, and one 2 1/2” Fabric A square as shown. Press. Make two, one of each combination and variation as shown. Label Units 2 and 4.

- Making quick corner triangles, sew one 1 1/2” Fabric E square and one 1 1/2” Fabric C square to one 3 1/2” x 1 1/2” Fabric A piece as shown. Press.
- Arrange and sew two 2 1/2” x 1 1/2” Fabric A pieces, one 1 1/2” Fabric E square, unit from step 6, and one 1 1/2” Fabric C square as shown. Press and label Unit 3.
- Referring to diagram arrange and sew together Units 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 as shown. Press.

Making quick corner triangles sew two 5 1/2” Fabric G squares to unit from step 8 as shown. Press.

Making quick corner triangles, sew two 4 1/2” Fabric A squares to unit from step 9 as shown. Press.

Making quick corner triangles sew two 2 3/4” Fabric D squares to unit from step 10 as shown. Press. Block Ten measures 9 1/2” square.
