The fabric requirements for the entire quilt are available here.

Fabric Requirements:

Fabric C —From 3 1/4"-wide strip, cut one 3 1/4" x 22" strip

Fabric D — From 2 1/4"-wide strip, cut one 2 1/4" x 22" strip

Fabric G — From 3 1/4"-wide strip, cut one 3 1/4" x 22" strip

Fabric I —From 2 3/4"-wide strip, cut one 2 1/4" x 22" strip

Making the Joy Block

1. Sew together lengthwise 2 1/4" x 22" Fabric D strip and 3 1/4" x 22" Fabric G strip. Press. Cut four 5"-wide segments from strip set as shown.
   
   
2. Sew together lengthwise 2 1/4" x 22" Fabric I strip and 3 1/4" x 22" Fabric C strip. Press. Cut four 5"-wide segments from strip set as shown.
   
   
3. Refer to Quick Corner Triangles. Making a quick corner triangle draw a diagonal line on wrong side of one unit from step 1 as shown. Place unit, right sides together, with one unit from step 2 with seams going in opposite directions as shown. Sew on drawn line. Press. Make four.
   
   
   
4. Sew two units from step 3 together as shown. Press. Make two.
   
   
   
5. Sew units from step 4 together as shown. Press twisting seams. Joy Block measures 9 1/2" square.
