Materials
- Skirt - One 32 1/2” x 20 1/2”
- Skirt Accent - One 2 3/4” (approximate) x 32 1/2”* piece
- For accent piece determine which repeating stripe you want to use. Add 1/4” to top for seam allowance and add 1/2” to bottom for narrow hem. Narrow hem by turning 1/4” to wrong side. Fold again 1/4” to wrong side and top stitch.
- Waistband - Two 3” (approximate) x 40”* pieces
* The width of these pieces is determined by the width of the repeating stripe you use. Add seam allowances as needed.
Assembly
- Sew Skirt Accent to bottom edge of Apron Skirt.
- Narrow hem sides and bottom edge of apron.
- Mark center top of apron skirt. Sew gathering stitches 1/4” and 1/8” from raw edge along top of skirt. Pull bobbin threads to gather skirt. Distribute gathers evenly so that top edge measures 16”.
