Be Mine Valentines

• Try something new and mix lavender with burgundy and pink for a fun card for a special friend. Heart-shaped flower stickers add a touch of whimsy.
• Textured yarns add an earthy touch to a sophisticated paper composition. Alternating papers and angling the cuts focuses attention on a beautiful sticker.
• When using a paper with a distinct pattern such as the heart tree or word layouts, it is a good idea to "fussy cut" papers so that selected words or elements are in exactly the right spot for your design. One trick that we use (such as on the card with yarn) is to cut the shape needed out of tracing paper then place the tracing paper cut-out on the patterned paper. Because you can see through the tracing paper, you can move the shape around to determine where you want to cut. Mark scrapbook paper with a pencil, and then cut.
