Gingerbread Table Runner

You'll want to make these simple runners for all your friends this Holiday Season! This colorful runner adds just the right touch of whimsy to any décor . Fabrics shown are part of Debbie Mumm's® Holiday Collections for Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.
Read all instructions before beginning and use 1/4”-wide seam allowances throughout.
Read Cutting Strips and Pieces prior to cutting fabric.
Fabric Requirements and Cutting Instructions
Fabric A Center - 1/3 yard
One 10 1/2” x 24 1/2” piece
Fabric B End Accents - 1/2 yard *extra yardage for fussy-cut motifs
Two 10 1/2” x 5 1/2” pieces
Backing-3/8 yard
Rickrack - 2/3 yards each of green (medium width) and red (jumbo width)
Batting - 14” x 39”
Making the Table Runner
- Sew 10 1/2” x 24 1/2” Fabric A piece between two 10 1/2” x 5 1/2” Fabric B pieces. Press.
- On outside, sew 11” piece of green rickrack over seams just sewn.
- On outside, sew 11” piece of red rickrack 1” away from seam on Fabric A piece of table runner.
Layering and Finishing
Layer runner top and backing right sides together on batting, wrong side of backing on batting. Using a 1/4”-wide seam, sew around all sides, leaving a 4” opening on one side for turning. Trim batting close to stitching and backing even with runner edges. Clip corners, turn, and press. Hand-stitch opening closed. Quilt as desired.
