Fabric Requirements:

Fabric A—from 3 1/2”-wide strip, cut eight 3 1/2” x 2” pieces. From 2”-wide strip cut twenty 2” squares.
Fabric C—from 2”-wide strip, cut twelve 2” squares.
Fabric E—from 3 1/2”-wide strip, cut two 3 1/2” squares.
Fabric F—from 3 1/2”-wide strip, cut four 3 1/2” x 2” pieces.
Fabric G—from 5 1/2”-wide strip cut two 3 1/2” squares.

Making the Block

1.  Refer to Quick Corner Triangles. Making a quick corner triangle unit, sew one 2” Fabric A square to one 2” Fabric C square as shown. Press. Make eight.

2.  Sew one unit from step 1 to one 2” Fabric A square as shown. Press. Make four.

3.  Sew one unit from step 2 to one 3 1/2” x 2” Fabric A piece as shown. Press. Make four.

4.  Making a quick corner triangle unit, sew one unit from step 3 to one 3 1/2” Fabric E square as shown. Prior to sewing flip back top unit to make sure pieces are joined correctly. Press. Make four units, two with Fabric E and two with Fabric G.

5.  Sew together two units from step 4 as shown. Press. Make two. Press. Sew these two units together as shown. Press Twisting Seams.

6.  Making quick corner triangle units sew two 2” Fabric A squares to one 3 1/2” x 2” Fabric F piece as shown. Press. Make four.

7.  Sew one unit from step 6 between two units from step 1 as shown. Press. Make two.

8.  Sew unit from step 5 between two units from step 7 as shown. Press.

9.  Making a quick corner triangle unit, sew one 2” Fabric C square to one 3 1/2” x 2” Fabric A piece as shown. Press. Make four, two of each variation as shown.

10.  Sew one unit from step 6 between two units from step 9, one of each variation. Press. Make two.

11.  Sew unit from step 8 between two units from step 10 as shown. Press. Block Three measures. 9 1/2” square.
