Block Eleven

"Harmony"

The fabric requirements for the entire quilt are available here.

Fabric Requirements:

Fabric B—From 8"-wide strip, cut one 6" square** (**cut twice diagonally and label Step 3), two 3 1/4"* squares (*each cut once diagonally and label Step 2)

Fabric C—From 3 1/4" –wide strip, cut two 3 1/4" squares (each cut once diagonally)

Fabric G—From 18"-wide strip, cut one 6" square** (**cut twice diagonally)

Fabric I—From 2 3/4"-wide strip, cut four 2 3/4" squares

Fabric J—Four 2 3/4" squares

Making the Harmony Block

  1. Refer to Quick Corner Triangles. Making a quick corner triangle sew one 2 3/4" Fabric J square to one 2 3/4" Fabric I square as shown. Press. Make four.


  2. Sew one Fabric B triangle and one Fabric C triangle to unit from step 1 as shown. Triangle corners will extend past edges of square. Press. Make four.


  3. Sew together one Fabric B triangle and one Fabric G triangle as shown. Press. Make four.


  4. Sew together one unit from step 3 and one unit from step 2 as shown. Press. Square unit to 5" centering intersection of seams.


  5. Sew together two units from step 4 as shown. Press. Make two.


  6. Sew together units from step 5 as shown. Press. Harmony Block measures 9 1/2" square.
