The fabric requirements for the entire quilt are available here.

Fabric Requirements:

Fabric B —From 1 1/2"-wide strip, cut twelve 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" pieces, four 1 1/2" squares, two 1" x 9 1/2" pieces, two 1" x 8 1/2" pieces

Fabric E —From 3 3/4"-wide strip, cut one 2 1/2" square

Fabric G —From 1 1/2"-wide strip, cut thirty-two 1 1/2" squares

Fabric H —Four 2 1/2" squares

Fabric I —From 4 1/2"-wide strip, cut four 2 1/2" squares

Making the Friendship Block

1. Refer to Quick Corner Triangles. Making quick corner triangles sew two 1 1/2" Fabric G squares to one 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" Fabric B piece as shown . Press. Make eight.
   
2. Making quick corner triangles, sew four 1 1/2" Fabric G squares to one 2 1/2" Fabric I square as shown. Press. Make four.
   
3. Arrange and sew together two units from step 1, two 2 1/2" Fabric H squares, and one unit from step 2 as shown. Press. Make two.
   
4. Arrange and sew two 1 1/2" Fabric B squares, two units from step 1, and one 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" Fabric B piece as shown. Press. Make two.
   
5. Sew together one unit from step 3 and one unit from step 4 as shown. Press. Make two.
   
6. Arrange and sew together two 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" Fabric B pieces, two units from step 2, and 2 1/2" Fabric E square as shown. Press.
   
7. Arrange and sew together two 1" x 8 1/2" Fabric B pieces, two units from step 5, and unit from step 6 as shown. Press.
   
8. Sew unit from step 7 between two 1" x 9 1/2" Fabric B pieces as shown. Press. Friendship Block measures 9 1/2" square.
