Getting Started
Yardage requirements, cutting instructions, general notes and layout are found here. Seam allowances are 1/4". Refer to Accurate Seam Allowance. Whenever possible, use the Assembly Line Method. Press seams in direction of arrows.
Pieces Needed for Block Two
Fabric A—from 2 1/2"-wide strip, cut two 2" x 3 1/2" pieces
Fabric C—from 6 1/2"-wide strip, cut two 6 1/2" squares
Fabric D—from 3 1/2"-wide strip, cut one 3 1/2" x 5" piece
Fabric E—from 6 1/2"-wide strip, cut one 6 1/2" x 12 1/2" piece
Fabric H—from 6 1/2"-wide strip, cut: (this fabric is directional, first cut listed is parallel to selvage)
Four 6 1/2" x 2" pieces
One 2" x 3 1/2" piece
Four 2" squares
Making the Block
- Referring to Quick Corner Triangles, sew two 6 1/2" Fabric C squares to one 6 1/2" x 12 1/2" Fabric E piece as shown. Press.

- Sew one 2" x 3 1/2" Fabric A piece between two 2" Fabric H squares as shown. Press. Make two. Sew one of these units between two 6 1/2" x 2" Fabric H pieces as shown. Press. Make two.

- Sew 2" x 3 1/2" Fabric H piece to 3 1/2" x 5" Fabric D piece as shown. Press.

- Sew unit from step 3 between two units from step 2 as shown. Press.

- Sew unit from step 1 to unit from step 4 as shown. Press. Block Two measures 12 1/2" square.
