20th Anniversary Block of the Month Quilt

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of my company, I designed a special year-long quilt project to share with you. This full-size bed quilt is intriguing enough for any quilter and easy enough for a beginner. Twelve pieced blocks measuring 12 1/2" square (unfinished) are bordered on two sides with log cabin strips. Even numbered blocks have one setting and the odd numbered blocks another. The block borders are added after all blocks are pieced in case you wish to rearrange the block layout. Seam allowances are 1/4". Refer to Accurate Seam Allowance. Whenever possible, use the Assembly Line Method. Press seams in direction of arrows.

This Quilt was designed to be used with many of Debbie's fabrics. We hope that you will simply select your favorite golds, reds, blues and other colors from Debbie's many fabric designs. Hopefully you may have some already in your quilting stash that will work or you may find fabrics in Debbie's online shop.

Cutting Chart

The fabric requirements listed below are for the entire quilt. Strips to be cut for all blocks and borders are listed below; individual cuts will be given with each block construction directions. Cut all strips according to width from selvage to selvage. Place Block Borders, First, Second, and Outside Borders in labeled, resealable bags. Place remaining, different-sized strips in labeled, resealable bags according to color. Label the strip width ( 2"-wide, 3 1/2"-wide, 6 1/2"-wide, etc.) for each bag. Block cutting instructions each month will give the width size of strip from which to cut each piece. This should be the most efficient use of the fabric.
