Spice up Your Kitchen with Fabric
Fabric is a quick and easy way to bring colorful and low-cost decor to your kitchen. Kitchens have lots of hard surfaces in cupboards and countertops so fabric softens and adds color and design without a lot of expense.
Dressing a table is a great way to establish a theme and color scheme for a kitchen. Here a simple but sophisticated patchwork table quilt sets the “spice” theme and introduces tangy colors to this country kitchen. Seat cushions repeat the colors and theme with coordinating fabrics.
Windows offer lots of options for using fabric. Depending on your décor, window valances, balloon or Roman shades and curtains are great ways to soften the room and add stylish details.
Even coordinating small items add panache to kitchen décor. Here, a fabric-covered recipe holder carries the color and theme to an open shelf.
Don't forget the most important thing in the kitchen—the cook! An apron in coordinating fabric and colors is a fun way to compliment the cook for a job done just right.
