Cowboy Up!
These decorating accessories are quick to make and add Western flair to a family room or bedroom.
Embellished Star
Tin stars are readily available at craft and decorating stores in many different sizes. We chose to embellish this star with Buckaroo scrapbook papers to match the Round-Up Quilt.
Place tracing paper on one wedge and trace for a pattern. Cut out wedges from various colors of scrapbook paper, reversing the pattern for half the pieces. Affix paper to the star using a glue stick. If desired, ink edges and inside angles.
Decorated Lampshade
This textured lampshade came with the dark blue trim on the top and bottom. We used a glue stick to add faux suede rickrack around the bottom edge. Printed fabric was backed with lightweight fusible web prior to cutting out icons. Affix fabric icons using a glue stick or fuse icons to a fabric shade using a small appliqué iron.

Roped Bucket
Paint a tin bucket using spray paint in the color of your choice with a matte or satin finish. When thoroughly dry, wrap lightweight rope around the bucket as desired, affixing ends with hot glue.
