Apple Table Accessories

Create an apple-licious harvest table with these easy accessories.
Apple Place Cards
We used a Bernina® Artista 730 to embroider names on leafy green fabric. If you don't have an embroidery machine, you can hand-embroider names or use small scrapbook letters to create names after leaf shapes are cut.
Following manufacturer's directions, apply fusible web to the back of each embroidered piece. Wrong sides together, fuse embroidered fabric to matching fabric piece.
Using pinking shears, cut out leaf shape (pattern below), centering each name on leaf shape. Use a dab of hot glue to adhere leaf to stem of apple.
Apple Napkins
For each napkin you will need an 18 1/2" square of two complementary fabrics.
Position napkin pieces right sides together and using 1/4" seams, sew around edges of napkin, leaving an opening for turning. Turn napkin right side out and press.
Top-stitch around edge of napkin, making sure to close turning opening. Press.
Apple Wreath Napkin Rings
The mini-wreaths are made from floral branches with assorted berries and leaves. Pieces from two or more branches can be used.
Form a 3" circle with one branch then wrap the end of the branch around and around the initial circle. If desired, use another branch with a different berry and wrap around the circle until desired fullness is achieved.
Use heavy brown floral wire to wrap tightly around wreath to hold everything in place and add more texture and interest. A long-nose plier will be helpful when working with the heavy florist wire.
